COVID-19 Affordable & Supportive Housing Sharing and Info Session Webinar Session 3: Eviction Moratoriums
This series of online convenings will explore crucial issues for the affordable and supportive resident services and property management community in San Diego related to the COVID-19 crisis. Join the San Diego Housing Federation, CSH, and LeSar Development in twice-a-month 90-minute virtual COVID-19 information and sharing sessions.
Our April 28th session will cover the following topics at these approximate times:
3:00 to 3:10 pm: Welcome from Executive Director of the San Diego Housing Federation, Steve Russell and Simonne Ruff the San Diego Director of CSH.
3:10 to 3:35 pm: Gil Vera, Esq., Senior Attorney, Housing Team, Legal Aid Society of San Diego, will discuss the details of various eviction moratoriums (Federal/State/Local) and the impact on affordable and supportive housing residents, including the protections the moratoriums provide and misunderstandings of the orders. In addition, we will discuss the impact on housing providers who are seeing reductions in rent collection
3:35 to 4:00 pm: PATH San Diego will discuss strategies to address tenant isolation and follow a harm reduction model within their supportive housing programs. PATH will share sample agency policies that have helped with the adjustments in services in this the new environment
4:00 to 4:10 pm: Discussion of emergency supports and key resources for tenants (e.g. access to basic needs supports and benefits; assistance with access to technology and internet service; etc.).
4:10 to 4:30 pm: COVID-19 related information sharing amongst participants and a discussion of tools and resources you are using with your tenants and at your properties.
Registration closes at 10 AM on April 28th, with no exceptions.
