Safety and Security in Supportive Housing

This workshop will cover a variety of safety and security topics important to supportive housing operators and staff. Participants will learn about San Diego’s Crime-Free Multi-Housing Program, a successful approach to deterring crime in rental properties. Attendees will also learn about violence in the workplace and what to do in the event of an active shooter. Lastly, attendees will learn about virtual remote guarding and how some supportive housing communities have embraced virtual guarding as an effective and cost-efficient way to make their supportive housing communities safer.
