Reopening Safely - How to Strike the Right Balance

This series of online convening’s will explore crucial issues for the affordable and supportive resident services and property management community in San Diego related to the COVID-19 crisis. Join the San Diego Housing Federation, CSH, and LeSar Development in twice-a-month 90-minute virtual COVID-19 information and sharing sessions.

Our June 23rd session will focus on striking the right balance between keeping the guard up and re-opening. This session will also discuss the challenges and solutions for working with extremely challenging tenants through the eviction moratorium:


• 3:00 to 3:10 pm: Welcome from Executive Director of the San Diego Housing Federation, Steve Russell and a WebEx orientation from Simonne Ruff, the San Diego Director at CSH

• 3:10 to 3:30 pm: Keeping your Guard Up: Andrew Gonzalez, Community Wellness and Partnership Manager for Champions for Health will discuss specific precautions buildings should be mindful of when re-opening their offices and amenities.

• 3:30 to 3:55 pm: Re-Opening in Phases: Michelle Sites, Vice President of Southern California for ConAm, will discuss the extensive re-opening plans she has developed for their properties and administrative offices.

• 3:55 pm to 4:20 pm: Evan McAvoy, Community Services Program Supervisor at Home Forward (Portland, OR’s housing authority) will present on addressing challenges with tenants during eviction moratoriums, with a focus on collaboration between service providers and property management.
