HEAL’ing Our Communities in the Midst of COVID-19

HEAL has been having a bi-monthly check-in over Zoom, which has been a joyful space hear from one another and find new ways of engaging. HEAL is working a letter to RTFH to offer feedback on immediate needs in responding to COVID-19.

Our network is also advocating for a new $2 billion annual budget for homelessness, signing letters and asking Legislatures to allocate funding for housing those who are experiencing homelessness. HEAL members also have stories to tell, to prevent the 2008 housing crisis and help our communities build a better future.

A structural element has been added to the program as well— a new HEAL Policy Coordinating Committee has been selected from among HEAL members to help shape the network’s advocacy work. The committee will have its first meeting in the coming week.
