The Importance of civic engagement

Join us for a virtual workshop on the Importance of Civic Engagement, where attendees will be equipped with vital information and strategies to make a difference in their communities. In this interactive session, we will focus on key areas of civic involvement including voter registration, the opportunities and limitations for providing advocacy on state ballot measures, critical affordable housing issues that will be on the November ballot.

 Topics covered include:

• An overview Engage voter empowerment effort.

• The vital role of voter participation

• Allowable political activities by 501c(3) non-profits

• How we can do effective voter registration outreach in our affordable housing communities.
