Join us to learn more about Trauma Informed Care!

You may have heard of the terms "trauma informed" and "trauma informed care" but weren't sure what it was or whether it applies to your work at a supportive housing development. Margaret Gutgsell, LMFT, Clinical Supervisor at South Bay Community Services, a State-wide leader in trauma-informed services training, will be presenting on the basics of how trauma affects development and behavior, how trauma can present itself, and some of the ways that we can be aware and supportive of those who have experienced significant levels of trauma who may be living in supportive housing developments.

Suggestions for different ways that we can ensure that trauma informed features are considered in the development of supportive housing will be presented as well. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers as well as brainstorming on how to best handle different scenarios that we commonly see at supportive housing developments.
