Join this post-election session to explore in detail the capital and operating funding available for affordable and supportive housing in California and the San Diego region. Presenters will cover State programs, such as the status of Proposition 1, the Veterans and Affordable Housing Bond Act of 2018, which if passed would authorize $4 billion in general obligation bonds for housing-related programs and housing loans for veterans, as well as Proposition 2, No Place Like Home Act of 2018, Housing Trust Fund which would authorize $2 billion for Mental Health Services Act supportive housing. In addition, presenters will discuss Building Homes and Jobs (SB2) Year 2 funding which will flow through CDBG jurisdictions, VHHP funds, along with a number of local NOFAs and funding opportunities throughout the region. In addition, information regarding planning for Health Homes will be shared. Hear the latest details on the various funds that make supportive housing successful and the current thinking about operating funding and support services.
