LISC San Diego August Roundtable
The Multifamily Energy Solutions Roundtable will provide information on State Assembly Bills that affect the energy landscape, as well as provide information on energy efficiency rebates, incentives, and financing options pertinent to the multifamily sector. Those interested in attending could include property managers, owners, and developers of multifamily buildings with 2 or more units. The Roundtable will include breakfast and will convene association members and program implementers for discussion.
Topic: Time-of-Use rates for Multifamily Properties
Presenter: Arnie Garcia – San Diego Gas & Electric
Description: Time-of-Use rates is a new way of pricing energy that puts customers in control. If you can shift some of their energy use to lower-cost time periods, you can lower your electricity bills and make better use of cleaner, renewable energy sources, like wind and solar, when they are more available.
Topic: AB 802 – Energy Benchmarking and Disclosure in California
Presenter: Christina Inglett – San Diego Gas & Electric
Description: For Building Owners and Managers, it is important to understand the benefits of ongoing energy monitoring, as well as the legal requirements for public energy benchmarking disclosure. Overview will provide a summary AB802 and the mandated statewide benchmarking requirements, as well as information on what SDG&E is doing to facilitate the process.

Description: Overview of the Solar on Multifamily Affordable Housing Program (SOMAH), which provides financial incentives of up to $100 million annually for 10 years for the installation of solar energy photovoltaic (PV) systems on multifamily affordable housing properties throughout California.
Topic: Energy Savings Assistance – Common Area Measures program
Presenter: Emily Fisher – Willdan Energy Solutions
Description: Learn about the new Energy Savings Assistance for Common Area Measures (ESA CAM) program that offers eligible low-income multifamily properties (deed restricted/subsidized housing) no-cost energy saving upgrades to their common areas. This could include appliances, lighting, water heating, HVAC, pool heating and pumping, building envelope and other maintenance.
