Harm Reduction Strategies to Respond to Opiate Overdose Events

“Opiate overdose” events are on the rise throughout the nation due to the proliferation of Fentanyl. The June 9th meeting of the SHLN will cover implementation of Harm Reduction strategies beneficial in responding to opiate overdose events involving those experiencing homelessness or who reside in supportive housing. April Ella, The Director of Operations for A New Path, will train attendees on how to respond to overdose events and provide a Q and A session. Completion of this training will permit attendees to receive free “kits” of Narcan/ Naloxone from A New Path and to learn about local resources.
