Supporting Vulnerable Tenants with In Home Support Services (IHSS) and Adult Protective Services (APS)

This workshop is designed for staff who work at affordable and supportive housing properties, many of them senior properties, and are interested in information about the IHSS and APS programs, including an opportunity to hear about local behavioral health services program experiences supporting tenants in navigating the APS and IHSS programs.  Key objectives of the workshop are: gaining a better understanding of the IHSS and APS programs; how to coordinate with APS effectively; and how best to navigate providing support to tenants who are applying for IHSS and hiring someone to support them.

Presenters will include representatives from the San Diego County Department of Aging and Independent Services (AIS) and Community Research Foundation (CRF).
