Two San Diego RUN teams ran successful Lobby Visits virtually in March! RUN members were prepared after extensive training to tell their stories and advocate for AB 71 (permanent funding for supportive housing), and AB 328 (prison funding to provide housing for formerly incarcerated individuals). Our experienced RUN leaders Joyce and Maria led a team to visit offices of Senate President Pro Tempore Toni Atkins, Senator Ben Hueso, Assemblymember Brian Maienshcein, and Assemblymember Lorena Goznalez. Our RUN leader Lavearn lead another team to visit offices of Assemblymember Ward and Assemblymember Boerner-Horvath.

Even though we met virtually, RUN’s powerful energy was still palpable in the Zoom rooms!

RUN will be continuing to advocate for AB 71 and AB 328 in the upcoming month!
