TCAC Schedules Application Workshops

 
Tax Credit Allocation Committee (TCAC) LIHTC Application Workshops were postponed until May. The new schedule is as follows:
  • May 4, 2009 Sacramento Holiday Inn Capitol Plaza 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm
  • May 5, 2009 Los Angeles Millennium Biltmore 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm FULL  
  • May 6, 2009 Los Angeles Millennium Biltmore 9:00 am to 12:30 pm FULL  
  • May 8, 2009 Oakland Elihu Harris Building 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm

Stakeholders who registered to attend the Applications Workshops previously postponed will automatically be enrolled in the corresponding workshop/city based on your original registration. For example, if you enrolled in the afternoon session for Los Angeles on March 5th, you will automatically be enrolled in the afternoon session on May 5th. There is still have space available in the Sacramento and Oakland workshops.  

If you wish to register for Sacramento or Oakland, or if you did not receive a confirmation notice of your new registration date, please contact Diana Hester at 916-654-6340.

National Rebuilding Day Tomorrow

 
National Rebuilding Day is Saturday, April 25 and Rebuilding Together San Diego is in need of semi-skilled (good "handyman" skills) and skilled labor volunteers to help some deserving families around the city. Specific needs include carpenters, plumbers, and painters.  Volunteers will assemble at various sites in San Diego and work between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Submit Award Nominations Now

 
Nominations for the this year's San Diego Housing Federation Affordable Housing Awards are being received in 13 award categories. The Awards will be presented Thursday, June 11 at the Handlery Hotel.
 
There are a number of changes in this year's awards lineup and criteria. Please take time to review them and think about who deserves this special recognition. There are categories for projects and individuals who've made exceptional contributions to the industry. Nomination forms, including all of the category descriptions and requirements, are now available here. . Nominations are due in the SDHF office by Monday, May 11.
 
Sponsorships for the Awards Event are encouraged and due by May 11 to ensure pre-event placement. All sponsor levels include complimentary registrations to the event. The Federation has a list of all
sponsorship opportunities available for the year if you prefer to make one contribution for both the Awards Event and the Fall Conference.

 

Silent Auction Items Needed


The Federation is looking for items to be donated for the Silent Auction at the Awards Event.  Popular donations include golf rounds, tickets to sports and entertainment events, gift cards for restaurants, bottles of wine, etc.  We also accept cash that we can use to purchase some of these items in the donor's name. 
 
Please send the donations or a description of an item to be donated to Kelley Dukat no later than June 1.  All donations are tax deductible.
 
Bidding will begin online, on June 4, 2009.
