TCAC Posts Changes to Proposed Regs

The California Tax Credit Allocation Committee staff has evaluated the dozens of suggested changes to the regulations published last month.  They've incorporated many of them into the new regulations going to the Committee April 30 for adoption.  You can review the changes and rationale here.

Consolidated Plan Meetings Underway

One more community meeting remains prior to the City of San Diegp's Consolidated Plan going to the City Council for approval on April 28.  It is Monday, April 20 at the Navajo Community Planners meeting. The plan describes how San Diego will allocate its HOME, Emergency Shelter Grant, HOPWA, and CDBG funds.  A proposal to change the way the City allocates its CDBG funds is being developed simultaneously but the City Council's PS&NS Committee was told yesterday that it will probably not be ready for inclusion in the Consolidated Plan.  The Plan will have to have "substantial amendments" to incorporate CDBG and spending for the $6 million in additional ESG stimulus funds.
