Call for Submissions for Fall
Conference |
The Federation's 18th Annual Conference, will be
held Thursday, October 15, 2009 in a
new location -- the Marina Village Conference Center on
Mission Bay. By moving the conference location and date
to a Thursday, there will be more networking/
exhibit time between sessions, better access to
exhibits, and an end-of-day networking reception on the
Bay for participants and speakers is planned.
Start thinking about ideas for conference
sessions. The Call for
Submissions is due back to the SDHF office by 5
p.m. Monday, July 27. There will be three
workshop sessions, each with six tracks. Workshops
are one hour and 15 minutes. Panels are limited to
three
presenters. | |

Funds Available to Replace Investor
Equity |
The Tax Credit Allocation Committee (TCAC)
has announced the availability of $75 million of an
anticipated $100 million in ARRA funds for projects that
currently have a 4% Tax Exempt Bond Reservation and have
been unable to secure an equity investor or have a
committed equity partner yet still have a funding gap.
This application is for 2007, 2008 and 2009 4% Tax
Exempt Bond Reservation holders, including those that
have submitted an application scheduled for approval
(and ultimately approved) at the July 8, 2009, TCAC
meeting. Please refer to TCAC Regulation Section
10323(c) for award amounts. One exception to this rule
is that projects with a pending 4% application already
determined to be complete by TCAC, and with committed
HCD or MHSA funding may apply for ARRA funds at this
time. Applications must be submitted by 4 p.m. on July
9. A memo and application are here. Sixteen San
Diego County projects applied for 9% tax credits in
TCAC's first (and only) 9% round for 2009.
