SBX8 28 (Yee), redirecting various Prop 1C set-asides to the MHP program, has generated some controversy and remains on the Senate floor. Senator Dutton and other Republicans have expressed grave concern with some of the redirection of funds to the Multi-Family Housing Program. While the redirect is billed as a jobs-generating stimulus measure, even if the $105 million is redirected to MHP, HCD still cannot issue a NOFA for the funds because of the Department of Finance freeze on new NOFAs.  Source: Framing the Issues.
