The first Affordable Housing Roundtable of 2010 is
Thursday, January 7 and it isn't too early to
register....the program is expected to fill quickly and
you may not be able to get a seat if you wait too long.
The topic is Social Media: Make It Work for
You. The program will help you better understand
why Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. are important to
you and your business and why you should join the
communications "revolution". Our speakers have practical
experience and success in using various social media and
will help you better understand how to use the latest
tools to interact more effectively with residents,
colleagues, potential donors, etc. The Roundtable
begins with a continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m.
followed by the program from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the NTC

CCDC Seeks Financial
Analysts |
Centre City Development Corporation (CCDC) is
requesting Statements of Qualifications from consulting
firms specializing in real estate
economic/financial/market analysis. This Request
For Qualifications ("RFQ") is to provide CCDC with a
list of consultants who will provide guidance and
assistance in the economic evaluation of redevelopment
proposals and on economic/financial/market issues
associated with urban redevelopment. The services of the
consultants will be on an "as needed" basis. A
presubmittal meeting will be held on December 10, at 10
a.m. in the CCDC offices, 401 B Street, Suite 400,
Subconsultants are encouraged to attend and network with
prospective prime consultants. The deadline to

Action Needed Now for
Tax Credit Program |
The A.C.T.I.O.N. Coalition just updated its
advocacy materials as part of the effort to achieve
reforms in the federal housing tax credit program,
particularly the tax credit exchange program. Among the
changes are new calculations showing the impact on
California of proposed changes to the LIHTC
program. The changes reflect new economic impact
numbers.
The latest data show that the proposed changes
would result in:
138,000 additional affordable
apartments; 160,00
additional jobs
$12
billion
$3.4 billion in ncreased federal
revenue $1.2 billon in
ncreased state & local revenue
The Coalition estimates that the tax credit program
has supported 140,000 jobs per year. PLEASE
contact your Congressional members to let them know how
important the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program is
to the induistry and to your organization. For the

HUD Extends 202/811
Deadlines |
HUD has extended the deadlines to apply for Section
202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly to December
14 and for Section 811 Supportive Housing for the

Applications |
Based on the amount of funds remaining, HUD
is no longer accepting further applications
for the Green Retrofit Program for Multifamily Housing
established by the American Recovery and Reinvestment
